This is the basic and most simple way to update the device.This way suits to X431 all family machines.Incl X431,Diagun Master Heavy Duty GX3 Tool and AutoBook etc.But you need to offer absolutely right serial number otherwise the update won't work.

Change Serial Number

Probably,this is the most thorny solution for X431 owners,as they need to send their units to us.But this solution's advantage is you will have new serial number that can keep the update up-to-date

Only spend less money for the smartbox board,you will get software update very up to date and for free.A new serial number for your device.

The X431 could upgrade to X431 Master with very easy way
You will need
A piece of Master/GX3 smartbox pcb board
A piece of Smart OBDII 16E adaptor
Just use this Master smartbox to replace your current X431 smartbox board will be OK.The Master smartbox is 2mm longer than X431 smartbox,but this is no problem and won't impact you to use
After replacement you won't need a super16 and CAN BUS adaptor
